In spite of the cold weather upon us today,
SPRING IS COMING
and with it the smell of sawdust and fresh paint. Are you ready?
Dig out your work gloves and come JOIN US
as we begin construction on Peachtree’s House #147 on March 10th, 2012.
The build schedule will look something like this:
Day 1 (March 10): Install floor decking and joists, build walls, clear crawlspace, start front porch
Day 2 (March 17): Install windows, deck and felt roof, interior framing, build side porch, begin siding
Day 3 (March 24): Shingle roof, insulate walls and ceiling, continue siding and begin caulking
Day 4 (March 31): Finish siding and caulking, begin interior and exterior painting FULL
April 7: HOLIDAY - NO BUILD
Day 5 (April 14): Continue painting, install interior trim, cabinets and countertops, soffit and fascia
Day 6 (April 21): Finish painting, soffit and fascia, and porch, install hardware
Day 7 (April 28): Clean house interior, landscape, complete miscellaneous items, DEDICATION
VERY IMPORTANT! Please plan to be on-site promptly at 8am and plan to work through 4pm. Habitat for Humanity depends on their volunteers to work a full day in order to plan their build schedule accordingly. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
