Thank you to everyone who participated in the Feed My Starving Children event September 23-25 through prayer, financial support, and meal packaging.
Your commitment and enthusiasm surpassed our goal to pack 425,000 meals! Together we packed 435,456 meals which will provide 1,193 children a life-changing meal everyday for an entire year! Over half of these meals are already on their way to Kenya to assist with famine relief. It is not only the nutrients from the meals that will restore these children’s lives, but also the hope, faith and love packed inside by each volunteer.
It is amazing what God can do through our community when we serve together! We loved watching people of all ages come together in fellowship and learning. It really was a team effort and would not have been possible without all of the volunteers. We would like to invite you to continue serving with our community and getting involved. Please mark your calendars for Justice Sunday on November 13 at Peachtree Presbyterian Church which will include a speaker from International Justice Mission and a fair trade market hosted by Trade as One. This event will help us to better understand the root causes of injustice (of which poverty is one) and discover ways to serve those impacted by injustice here in Atlanta and around the world.
