Sola Scriptura
8:55 am, Room 4303 Age Range: Open to All Contact: Dr. Mark Crumpler, 404-842-3172, markcrumpler@peachtreepres.org
Sola Scriptura is a Sunday morning Bible class led by Dr. Mark Crumpler. It is open to adults of all ages and with any amount of prior Bible study. Join us any time.
Sola Scriptura will resume on September 7 for our 2008-2009 study:
“Beginnings: A Journey through Genesis.”
Firsts are important. A first kiss, a first step, a first anniversary, a first job – these are things we never forget. What comes first often points to what will come later. We understand what is happening now by looking back at where it all began. This is certainly true of God’s story. If the Bible is one long story (and it is) then maybe we need to understand how it all began. That will be our quest for the 2008-2009 year of Sola Scriptura as we make our way through the beginning of God’s story, the book of Genesis. We meet every Sunday morning at 8:55 in Room 4303.

CELEBRATING WORLD CHRISTIANITY
Looking for a place to learn more about where and how God is working through Christians around the world? “Latitude and Longitude” is a Sunday morning adult class (11: 15 in Room 2303) with an international focus. It studies the issues which affect God’s Church around the world and provides a venue to showcase our global ministry partners or others who will help us grow deeper in our understanding of Peachtree’s call to “carry God’s love to the world” (the “Latitude”). In addition, it celebrates the vitality of Christianity as seen through the work and witness of the Church and our own congregation’s partnership with and commitment to the Global Church (the “Longitude”). We welcome anyone currently without a Sunday School class “home” to join this intergenerational group who share a curiosity about the world and the dynamic presence of Christians within that world. Those already attending another class are encouraged to “drop in” for specific topics. Contact Marilyn Borst, Director of Global Ministry, at mborst@peachtreepres.org or phone her at 404-842-2578.
