Baptism FAQs

We look forward with great anticipation celebrating your child’s baptism. Below find FAQs for your baptism day.
When & where do I come for my child's baptism?
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the service in which your child will be baptized. Your immediate family should come to the Parlor (room 3319). NOTE: We do have 1 reserved parking spot for your family on your baptism day. It's located in the North parking lot - between the Kellett Chapel and the Welcome Center.
When & where should my extended family come?
Please encourage you extended family & friends to arrive closer to the scheduled service start time. They should enter at the Welcome Center (where the bus drops off). They will be greeted by a baptism host and escorted directly to their reserved seats in the Sanctuary.
Where are the resered seats in the Sanctuary?
We reserve seats "front" and "center" in the main, center section of the Sanctuary for our baptism families. If your family needs assistance, any usher can direct them to the baptism reserved seating. Please be sure to indicate on the online reservation form how many seats to reserve for you on your baptism day - please don't forget to include yourselves as you will join your family after the baptism.
What happems after the baptism?
Following the baptism portion of the worship service, we ask that you be seated with your family and remain in worship for the duration of the service. All baptism families will exit the platform together; at that point, you may take your child to the church nursery, then return to the Sanctuary.
Can we have pictures taken during the baptism?
We know that it's important to remember your child's baptism day through pictures. We provide photographers who will take a family picture in the Parlor prior to the service and a photographer who will take pictures of the actual baptism during the worship service. We ask that you keep the spirit of the worship service and that you tell your family to not take pictures - even digital pictures - during the worship serivce. We will mail the pictures to your home about 1-2 months after the baptism. Your family can, of course, take pictures before and after the service.
Can I get a DVD copy of my child's baptism?
Yes, again, please ask your family not to video tape the baptism. We are happy to make DVD's of the entire service available to your family at a coast of $10.00 each. Please be sure to indicate on the online reservation form how many DVD's you would like to purchase. You will be able to pay via Visa or Mastercard online at the time of registration. We will mail the DVD(s) along with your pictures to you about 1-2 months after the baptism.
What information is printed in the bulletin?
We WILL print the names of grandparents and siblings in the Sunday baptism bulletin. Please be certain to type the information correctly on the online registration form. If we do not receive your information, we will not be able to print your information in the baptism bulletin.
