KidJam is our Sunday morning program for 1st through 4th grade
at the 8:45 and 10:00 hours. KidJAM is a virtue based curriculum
whose 3 basic truths are: Trust God no matter what, Make the wise
choice, and Treat others the way you want to be treated.
During the 10:00 hour 1st-3rd grade students will experience a
large group worship led by our 4th graders and Adult Worship Team.
And teaching time, followed by activities in their small group that build
friendships between the children and their leaders and support the
Bible lesson. 4th graders have their own large group time once a
month and weekly small group time with an emphasis on building
relationships, serving, and applying God’s word to their lives.
During the 8:45 hour 1st – 4th grade children will have the same large
group lesson but will break out into small groups by their age level.
Both programs are staffed with volunteers that are serving in areas of
their giftedness. We have large group leaders, small group leaders,
worship and tech teams, hospitality or greeting teams, and a mid-week
operations group that puts the supplies, props and other elements
together for Sunday. We are blessed to have this team of people
loving and serving your children. The virtues we will focus on this year
are: September— Knowledge, October— Determination, November—
Gratitude, December— Generosity, January— Resourcefulness, February—
Fairness, March— Hope, April— Conviction and May— Obedience.

Offering:
Joash Box
One of our goals in KidJam is to continue to model and teach
the importance of tithing and its purpose in our spiritual lives. We
will be collecting offering in our large group areas every Sunday
using our Joash Box.
Joash was one of the kings of Judah but was only 7 years old when
he began his reign. He saw that the temple where people came to
worship God was in disrepair. He decided to place a box outside of
the temple for the people to place money in, so that it could be
repaired. Placing a box outside of the temple was done so that the
people could quietly give what they could and not draw attention to
them in the process. Their contribution was not about who they
were or how much they gave, but about what God was calling them
to share. God blesses this and Joash was able to repair the temple.
We will be doing special mission collections and projects throughout
the year; these will be communicated through our parent e mail.

Volunteers, staff and children leave the building by the nearest
exit towards the west side of the building. We will cross the
street to the parking lot. We will do a head count of children and
compare to our attendance sheet. Parents may gather with us, but
children do not leave until everyone has returned to the classroom
and a final count has been made.

Peachtree Children’s Ministry follows the church-wide procedures
of Peachtree Presbyterian Church.
|
|
If your child has any medical concerns, please note that on
registration card and verbally inform the Children’s Ministry staff.
We will do our best to meet the needs of your child. If an
emergency happens when a child is in our care, the procedures we
follow are to find medical assistance, find the parent, and follow
the instructions of the doctor. If it is a severe emergency, we will
call 911 immediately and then follow the other procedures.

Children may be excused to use the bathrooms in the hallway of our

independently.

Peachtree Children’s Ministry runs background checks on all staff
and leaders who have direct contact with children. Our hope is to
provide a safe environment for our children, leaders, and families.

A welcoming environment is where everyone feels safe. Our
programs can and should be a fun time for all children involved and
we want every child to feel welcome and safe. Please consider this
code of conduct carefully and thoughtfully as you think about your
involvement with Children’s Ministry at Peachtree Presbyterian
Church. Our code of conduct can be summed up in one word:
RESPECT. We expect our children to…
-
Respect for self and others. Treat others, as you would like
to be treated, using the kind of language and appropriate
behavior.
-
Respect for leaders. Listening and following the directions of
your leaders are expected at all times during any church event.
-
Respect for the building. We take care of our building and
property by cleaning up, walking in hallways, and staying with our
group at all times.

Parents are responsible for the drop-off and pick-up of their
children. Parents of 1st grade children will need
to show their
identification card that will be issued to you when we receive
your registration card, when picking up their child. 2nd and 3rd
graders may be picked up by their parents or older sibling. 4th
graders are the only age that may meet their parent in a
different location of the church (i.e. Welcome Center). Please
fill out the appropriate area of the registration form that gives
permission for this to take place. We encourage and welcome
your children to bring their friends! We will have a special sign
in sheet and nametag for them to fill out at the age level
welcome tables when you check-in.
