Invitation to the Table:
Is it time for your child to learn and participate in communion as a part of our church community and also as a part of their faith and relationship with Jesus? Parents and elementary children are invited to join Children and Family Ministry staff for this workshop about the sacrament of communion that focuses on the meaning and ways we celebrate it in our church community. Join us for this engaging and participatory workshop for families with older preschool and elementary-aged children. We will build on the morning's palm processionals as we experience the events of the week leading up to Jesus' death and resurrection thru Bible study, dramatization, and hands-on activities. We will leave better prepared and ready to remember Jesus' death and truly celebrate his resurrection. Dinner included. Register by Tuesday, March 23.

Join us for a family Easter Egg Hunt at Chastain Park, Saturday, April 3, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. We will hunt Easter eggs and enjoy Chick-Fil or your own picnic for lunch. Invite your friends and their kids to join you for a fun time playing on the playground and hunting eggs. (Ages 2 and under will hunt at 10:30 am; ages 3 - 5 will hunt at 10:45 am; and ages 6 and up will hunt at 11:00 am.) Then invite those friends to church on Easter Sunday! Questions? Camp S.O.S JR: Community and Global Mission Camp for rising 1st and 2nd graders
Rising 1st and 2nd graders, join us June 21-24 or June 28 - July 1, 2010, 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., as we explore how we are the “hands and feet of Jesus” in our community and in the world. During this 4-day camp we’ll learn about the people in our families, neighborhoods, community, and world to see how Jesus wants us to extend His love through serving them. Cost is $75.00 per participant. Enrollment is limited to 15 participants per session. Registration begins March 1, 2010.

Camp S.O.S: Community and Global Mission Camp for rising 3rd and 4th graders
Rising 3rd and 4th graders, join us July 12-16, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., as we explore how we are the “hands and feet of Jesus” in our community and global service camp. We’ll have fun as we build friendships, serve in our Atlanta community, experience our global community, and learn how Jesus wants us to share His message of hope, compassion, love, and forgiveness with others through the act of service. Cost is $100.00 per participant. Enrollment is limited to 18 participants. Registration will begin March 1, 2010.

New this summer - Families with elementary-aged children, join us for camp as we explore how God has created each family special to honor him by serving each other, our community, and the world. We'll begin with dinner together on Friday evening. Included in camp are service experiences with Peachtree's community partners.
One or more children with one or more parents constitute a family.
Camp S.O.S. Family enrollment is limited to a maximum of 10 families per session. Registrations are processed in the order received by Children and Family Ministry.
Cost is $75 per family.

October 9-12, 2010
Families with elementary-aged children are encouraged to join us for this
Family Mission Trip to Jamaica, October 9-12, 2010. During this trip, we will build relationships with the children and staff at the Salvation Army School for the Blind and the residents at the Francis Ham Home for the Elderly in Kingston, Jamaica. We will have opportunities to play, worship, share Bible stories and activities, visit their classrooms, and just enjoy being together.
This trip is open to entire families or to elementary-age children with a parent. Lodging is basic dorm style on the Salvation Army Compound. Meals are provided and are taken on the compound.
Cost for this trip is approximately $700 per person. Lodging, food, and transportation in Jamaica and airfare from Atlanta are included.
This is a great opportunity for your family to learn more about and participate in God's ongoing work in the world. Participation is limited.

We present Bibles to our children 3 times in our ministry.
Children in our 2-year-old classes will receive a pre-school Bible on Sunday, November 8, 2009.
Kindergarteners received a new kids' study Bible at the beginning of this school year.
Our 4th graders will be presented with a more student focused Bible on Sunday, February 7, 2010, during the 8:45 am service.
