Johnny Myers, Director of Community Outreach, joined the
staff in 2001 as PPC’s Director of Resources. Originally
from Dallas, Texas, he graduated from Texas A&M University
in College Station. Johnny started working in the
electrical supply industry before God called him into
full-time ministry. He served as a Director at Cho-Yeh
Camp & Conference Center in Livingston, Texas, and then
the Director of Operations at First Presbyterian in
Houston.
His love for sharing the gospel is magnified in the
outreach program at PPC. He says his greatest joy in
ministry is, “working with passionate, on fire, people
that share the common vision of sharing the love and
compassion of our Lord and Savior while making disciples
of Jesus Christ.”
Johnny says one of the most cherished gifts that God has
given him is the love and encouragement of his wife Susan
and their son John Michael. Johnny, Susan and John Michael
love running, traveling and volunteering in the Children’s
and Missions Ministries of the church.

I have been formally working in the ministry for the last eight years. I have interned for a small Baptist church in Southern California, worked as a counselor for one summer at Hume Lake Christian Camps, and worked on staff at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church in the Student Ministries department. Here at Peachtree, my ministry has been focused on leading and developing staff, planning trips, speaking, and implementing vision within the ministry. What I enjoy doing most is sitting down with a couple of students at a coffee shop and discussing the issues pertaining to their lives. Building relationships and creating community are a central part of my ministry philosophy, because they are central to the faith development of students.

Jan enjoys reading, baking, following college sports, time at the beach, and being with family, including her niece and nephew who live nearby.
