Love your neighbor as yourself (Luke 10:27) Go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28: 19)
Within the context of these directives from God---the Great Commandment and
the Great Commission---lays the call to both Community and Global Ministry at
Peachtree. Through hands-on service which addresses the needs of our homeless
and impoverished neighbors, or journeys which break through barriers of
language, geography, and culture to assist indigenous churches around the world
with their own call to ministry, opportunities abound for Peachtree members to
“give back in gratitude” as well as to learn and grow from the experience of
worship, working and witnessing alongside committed Christians with whom we
partner, be it up the street and or across the ocean.

Peachtree Presbyterian volunteers, working through our community partner ministries, answer this question by helping local at-risk youth, offering companionship to older adults, feeding the homeless, giving the working poor a helping hand, encouraging families living in shelters, bringing hope to a hospitalized child, and building houses for the homeless. The opportunities to give and serve are endless, for the need is ever great.
As witnesses to the greatness of God, Peachtree Presbyterian volunteers receive as much as they give. Peachtree members are able to fulfill their calling to feed the stranger (Matthew 25:34-46), live their faith out with deeds (James 2:14-26), and love their neighbors “with actions and in truth” (1 John 3:18). There is a sense of joy in serving those in need, a sense of fulfillment in knowing one is walking in the footsteps of the Savior, extending His love and His peace to the world.
